SitPl4 Sit e P roposa l 4 Thfthlifththidtbhithiti Th e f our th proposa l var i es f rom th e thi r d mos t b y res h ap i ng th e ex i s ti ng parking lot. It proposes to straighten out the existing curve in the parking lot to expand area and usability. Creating perpendicular parking spots along the edge of the lot shows customers where to park and increasesparkinglotsizebyapproximasix(6)spots.Thisrequires increases parking lot size by approximately six (6) spots. This requires removal of the cement sidewalk. The removed pieces can be broken down and possibly serve as the base for a new porous parking lot pavement system, allowing for stormwater to percolate to the aquifer and adjacent stream (Detail 2). Forbusparkingwerecommendremovingthecontaminatedsectionof For bus parking we recommend removing the contaminated section of building to create a bus lane. Planting trees near the road limits visibility to reduce traffic speed while attracting local birds like the toucan. We recommend extending the bermtoaidasavisualbarrier.Creatinganundergroundculvert berm to aid as a visual barrier. Creating an underground culvert following the path of the old stream relieves drainage pressure from the open space.Proposal #4 also seeks to beautify the open space. The sidewalk intersection has a mosaic design similar to the design on the CASEM bilditdbCASEMtitAtllithftfthC Version 1 Pg 28 b u ildi ng crea t e d b e a CASEM ar ti s t A t re lli s on th e f ron t o f th e C oope building attracts hummingbirds as well as lending color to the open space (Section B-B).
