Title supplied by cataloger.
This club served the immigrants who came from Asturias in northeastern Spain. The walls are recessed in the thickness of the two-story high Tuscan columns which "support" the enormous entablature/balustrade crown. For balance there are plastered corner piers. The temple-form is raised on a high ground-level story. The spandrels have ornamental panels and the windows are vertically united by the reveals molding which hugs the columns and emphasizes the arches of the upper-story windows. It was typical of the (Neo-) Classical (Revival) buildings of the turn of the century to employ massive, balustraded cornices, but the round-headed windows are more in keeping with the Renaissance Revival at that time. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
