Notes

Summary:
Located at Fowler Avenue and 46th Street, the Thatcher Glass Factory, now no longer operating, was perhaps Tampa's best example of fortuitous form in industrial building. The north end is a Constructivist-like "composition" of geometric shapes and spaces with dome-, gable- leant-to-, and flat roofs; and bold as well as fine-lined sculpturesque extras. It could serve as a source of inspiration for architectural students at the University of South Florida nearby. This is a view from the north.
