Caption on back of photograph reads: "Hangman Hanged...End Of War Criminal Alphons Klein. Nazi officer Alphons Klein, who ordered Russian and Polish deportees, men and women to be administered morphine and copolamine, thus causing death in four hundred and seventy five, was hanged with two of his accomplices. The defendant was administrator of the Hadamar hospital and S.S. officer. He excused himself that his victims were suffering from lung ailments. Keystone photo shows: The hanging of Alfonso [sic] Klein."
