-2 4e Before the organization of any class or activity the district supervisor shall determine the governmental unit, civic club, community organization, group, or individual who will act as co-sponsor of the project and a clear understanding shall be had as to the extent of to be given, 5. The district supervisor shall clearly inform the teacher of the type or field of education under which each class or activity shall be classified, e.g., literacy education, citizenship education, naturalization education, etc, 6. Tho district supervisor shall give all assistance possible to tho newly assigned teacher in making tho necessary contacts in the community. 7. IVhen any class or center is opened, tho district supervisor sha.ll see that tho teacher is provided with all necessary informltion and material with which to begin his work, and clearly inform tho teacher where and by what meo.ns o.dditiono.l infor mation o.nd mo.torials mo.y be secured as needed in the succcsafUlconduct of teaching activities. 8, When any novr class or center is oponed, tho district supervisor sho.ll submit to the state super visor o. written report giving definite informo.tion on each of tho above requirements. 9. Any class or o.ctivity which after o. fP.ir o.nd reason o.blo period of oporo.tion co.nnot, in tho opinion of the sto.to supervisor, reach and mo.int uin the requirements sot forth heroin, shall be discontinued, B. closing Clas.ses or Centers. 1. Before any class or center is closed by any district supervisor of education, the district supervisor concerned submit to tho sto.te supervisor a vvrit ton roport cleo.rly stating why such class or center should bo discontinued. Tho class or center sha.ll not bo closed until such ha.s been o.pprovod by tho eto.to supervisor.

6 VI TEACHING MATERIALS: A Requests for material 1 A.ll requests for teachint materials should be directed through the office of the district super visor to the attention of the project technician. Tho :mn.terials requested will be lent to the teacher for a period of one month with the privilege of ronowing the loan upon request. 2 All requests for materials should be made by both subject or title, and the catalog number 3 Every effort should bo mo.de to anticipate materials noodod woll in advance of the time desired.
