This is an oral history interview with retired circuit judge Morison Buck. Judge Buck describes his family history and his childhood in Memphis, Tennessee. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, and after being discharged moved to Tampa with his wife. He studied law at the University of Florida, and had his own practice for several years before becoming a magistrate in federal court and later assistant district attorney. He was then appointed circuit judge and served in that capacity from 1977 to 1991. Judge Buck was involved with the Hillsborough County Bar Association for many years, and writes biographical articles about local judges.
