Michael Hirsh is as a journalist, documentarian, and producer in radio and television. Over his 35 year career, he was the recipient of numerous awards, including several Emmy Awards, a Writers Guild Award, the DuPont-Columbia Citation, and the George Foster Peabody Award. He served as a combat correspondent with the U.S. Army’s 25th Infantry Division in Vietnam, where he was also awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge. Hirsh is the author of several works of non-fiction, including The Liberators: America’s Witnesses to the Holocaust (New York: Bantam Books, 2010).
