This collection consists of stock receipts, brochures, and correspondence from the Celo Securities Co., Inc. Also includes miscellaneous household records of William and Annie Price including mortgage payment receipts, savings books, income tax returns, and World War II ration books (1942).

Biographical:
Tampa residents William Snowden Price and Annie Rae Price were stockholders in the Celo Securities Co., Inc. In 1928, W. Truman Green patented the Celo formula and sold it from his drugstore on North Franklin Street, Tampa. A celery-flavored soda (from celery seed essence), Celo was produced and bottled during the 1930s, along with Cuba Kola and Christy Club Soda. A celery-flavored syrup, popular for making floats, milk shakes and banana splits at soda fountains, was also developed. In 1944, the company was sold to Vernor's Ginger Ale.
