Alma J and Edward E. Driskell were Tampa natives, the apparent children of Eugene Driskell (1886 - 1970) and Ella Clyde Driskell (1898 - 1953). The albums in the Driskell Photograph Albums Collection were discovered behind a false wall at 201 South Packwood, where Alma and Edward lived from approximately 1953 until the time of Alma's death in 1983, in Tampa during the restoration of the Structure by contractors M. C. Smith & Company in 1996. The albums were given to Leland Hawes of the Tampa Tribune and in turn were then donated to the Special Collections Department of the University of South Florida in March of 1996.
