The service is for the student who feels that there is something interfering with his or her aca demic work-personal or social life, conflict with professors or other students in class, or any other barrier which advice or counseling would help to solve. The director of the Clinical Counseling Service is Dr. Cato lyn Pinkard, who is also an as sociate professor teaching Hu man Behavior. At present Dr. Pinkard is the only member of the counselor service and has been since September. Three other counselors are expected to join her in July or Sep tember. make an appointment with Mrs. Mahony, who is Dr. Pinkard's secretary, and an interview will be scheduled. The interviews, though not necessarily so, are held weekly until the student feels that he or she bas accom plished or can accomplish the problem or situation alone. Next year when the staff is larger, groups of people who have the same situation con fronting them, such as career choice or who all are unhappy about some aspect of university life, may confer with one of the counselors.
