Jerry and Judy Oates have purchased Bull Shoals Cave, AR, from Millie Graham Additionally, John & Cindi Esposti sold Beautiful Rushmore Cave, SD, to Tom Hagan and is now known as Rushmore Cave. We hope to see these folks at next year’s meeting in Branson. MONTHLY SUMMARIES Don’t forget to go online and enter your monthly attendance data. And keep those records handy – you’ll be needing them to participate in the annual business survey coming this spring. SOUVENIR PENNY BOOKS Pressed penny books are avail able from the NCA office for $1.80 plus shipping. There is no minimum order and 25 fit nicely in a medium size priority mailing box. MIDWINTER MEETING The Insurance Committee and the Board of Directors will be meeting in Bowling Green, KY in late March. If anyone has issues they would like addressed, please contact your regional director or any mem ber of the Executive Committee. We all work for you. CONDOLENCES Our thoughts and prayers are with Lin da Coleberd, Mark Twain Cave. Jim Coleberd died December 15th after undergoing bypass surgery. Services were December 21st & 22nd. Our sympathies go to his family, friends and staff. WINTER TRADE SHOWS Here are the dates of some of the winter gift shows: Atlanta Jan 9-13; Dallas Jan 16-19; Philadelphia Jan 17-20; NEW Rocky Mtn. Gift Show, Salt Lake Feb 12-14; Denver Feb 28-Mar 3. RUBY FALLS CELEBRATES 80 YEARS! Celebrate the 80th anniversary of the discovery of Ruby Falls on Tuesday, December 30th! On “Discovery Day” at the Ruby Falls Cavern Castle, the first 80 guests will get in for the original ticket price of $2 per person. Family members of founder Leo Lambert, will be there to share in this historical occasion. Hugh Morrow will unveil a bronze plaque in honor of Mr. Lambert during the ceremony The inscription on the plaque is a quote from Lambert himself and partially reads, “Discovering Ruby Falls was like discovering God…you don’t know what lies ahead…and feel like you cannot go on…but you get up with a feeling that somewhere ahead lies something more wonderful than you could ever imagine” (Dec. 30, 1928).
