Diane Thompson Coordinato r 92 Hidden Drive, Camdenton, MO 65020 diane @cavern.com 573 836 2256 From the Desk of the NCA President First of all I would like to give my personal thanks to everyone who made the convention in Luray another memorable NCA event. All the cave visits and outings credited to Thomas Jefferson, including first to map a cave? Special thanks go out to Rod & John Graves and their staff for their gracious hospitality and for pulling all the stops out to end the convention with a bang. The fireworks were simply amazing. It was also the last day for Susan Berdeaux as the N CA Coordinator and thanks to everyone who contributed and put together a fun slideshow, funds contributed to the Barren River Animal Welfare Association and funds for Susan to escape to someplace warm. Thank you Susan, for all your hard work over the year s and as you said at the convention, the NCA will be in fine hands with Diane Thompson as the new Coordinator. Welcome Diane! And final thanks to outgoing President Eric Evans for his dedication to this organization not just for the past two years, but f or many years of service (and I hope many more to come in the future). Cave Talk is a
publication of the National Caves Association, a non-profit
trade association founded in 1965 by a small group of private
show cave owners. These initial members sought to bring
together show cave owners and operators from across the United
States to promote the show cave industry to the public, to
share information and ideas, and to lobby for legislation
favorable to the show cave industry.
