Ring foot with convex molding; interior in two degrees. Shallow, flaring wall. ( ,,,,,,,, )
Abstract:
Two incised grooves at center floor surrounded by six stamped motifs (double scroll, in square). Wide band of rouletting formed from 11-12 rows of small dots, framed by two bands of double grooves. Four finger marks around base.

Light brown fabric (7.5YR 6/4). Lustrous black slip over all; underside reserved.

Black-gloss from Arezzo. For decoration and profile, see Bernardini 1986, no. 663, p. 190, Pl. 51. The stamp on 10240 is very similar but with the addition of a vertical bar between the two scrolls. The offset on the interior of the foot (here, more o; Fragment. Base preserved with floor of plate, broken on all sides.
