Abstract:
The Williams Park Band Shell (8PI10460 on the Florida Master Site File), is a historic structure located in the City of St. Petersburg and is a City Parks and Recreation property. The building is located between 2nd and 1st Avenue North, and is in the Historic District area. The building is a metal and concrete structure with a unique roof and triangular-shaped design. University of South Florida’s Digital Heritage and Humanities Collections (DHHC), worked with the City of St. Petersburg to record this structure and its current conditions as part of a survey to document resources in Williams Park. Terrestrial Laser Scanning using a FARO Focus3D 330 range model, included elevated and ground based scanning. Photogrammetry and GPS survey was also conducted across the park and a conditions assessment from the scanning survey was presented. This model is derived from the laser scanning data, and made available to show general shape and structure of this historic building resource.
