This is a waisted Clovis or Suwannee point, diagnostic of the Paleoindian period, 10,000-9000 BC. This stone tool was found in the Maximo Point midden in St. Petersburg, Florida, and is an example of an older tool that was salvaged and reused during the later Safety Harbor period.
