Notes

Abstract:
At Abercrombie Park in St. Petersburg, Florida, there is a circular embankment that is all that remains of a small prehistoric mound. The sand and shell mound was originally about 4 feet high and 58 feet in diameter. Fill from the mound was excavated and used for local street construction in the 1920s. This sign, salvaged from a nearby house lot, once acknowledged the mound’s location.
