Abstract:
This bone fid or awl, made from a deer long bone, is from the Anderson Mound, Jungle Prada Complex in St. Petersburg, Florida. It was recovered from an excavated level that dates between AD 1250 and AD 1400, during the late Safety Harbor period. The tapered point has been worn smooth from continued use.
