It enrolls over 2 9,000 students in 88 undergraduate areas, 83 master's and specialist programs and 19 d octoral programs, including the H.D. The University's faculty of over 1,600 members delivers instruction tn eleven colleges and on five cAmpuses. To assist you in knowing more sbout the University of South Florida, this fact book presents information about our students, programs, faculty, staff, and financial and physical resources. The information selected for inclusion in the Fact Book reflects the questions most frequently asked by the University's many publics. This fifth, annual edition of the Fact Book follows the general fonnat of the prior editions; therefore, year-to-year comparisons o f information can be readily made. In response to requests from you, tables have been Added on merit scholar enrollment and research/service centers and institutes. Also, data are now include d for the new Lakeland facility, and the architecture program. Host of the tables omitted last year due to problems encountered when using the data, have been reinstated.
