There are also numerous short stories, poems, newspaper clippings, and correspondent letters between Hilliard Crow and others.

Myrtle Hilliard Crow was born on Christmas day in 1888, the oldest of four children to James and Emma Hilliard. The daughter of a pioneer, she was fascinated with pioneer life. This informed her writing as the pioneer life is a major part of most of her works. Her book, emph render italic The Old Tales and Trails of Florida was published posthumously in 1988 by the Osceola County Historical Society.
