No. 47-00227-P April 23, 1998 Malcolm Johnson, P.E. Agricultural Engineering, PA 364 Catfish Creek Road Lake Placid, Fl. 33852 Dear Mr. Johnson: Subject: 101 Ranch, Okeechobee County, Sections 5, 6, 7, 8 & 13/T34S/R34E The information you submitted on March 25, 1998 has been reviewed. The information received was incomplete and did not address the following 4 additional comments. According to Rule 40E-4, Florida Administrative Code (FAC), review of this project cannot be completed without this information. 1. As previously discussed, please revise the storm routings as necessary to limit discharges from each basin (during the design event) to 9.8 CSM. This rate has been established by pro-rating the design discharge at the Eagle Island Road bridge over the drainage basin area north of Eagle Island Road. Staff would also like to work with you to establish appropriate tailwater information to be utilized in the storm routings to more accurately depict system conditions. 2. Please provide an accurate depiction of the wetland impacts proposed based on recent aerial coverage of the project. Please contact Gregory Sawka at the Okeechobee Service Center at (941) 462-5260 to schedule a meeting and possible site inspection to verify the locations of impacted wetlands. 3. As discussed, a Deed of Conservation Easement can be submitted to compensate for proposed wetland impacts. If a conservation easement is agreed upon, a "metes and bounds" description of the area proposed for the easement will be required along with a copy of the signed and notarized Standard Conservation Easement Form (previously provided). At the next site inspection Staff will determine the extent of area required to compensate for wetland impacts. Governing Board : Frank Williamson,Jr., Chairman Eugene K .
