Skip Gandy Commercial and Aerial Photography Collection
This digital collection documents Tampa, Florida, through the lens of Skip Gandy’s camera from the 1950s to the 2010s. The Special Collections department at the University of South Florida's Tampa campus library houses additional prints, some by Skip's father, Sandy Gandy; however, this digital collection presents the majority of the Skip Gandy Photograph collection.
Skip Gandy's innovative aerial photography allows us to see urban and natural settings of the Tampa Bay region. His photographs of people, events, and buildings capture Tampa as it started transforming into the third most populous city in Florida. The images are in black and white as well as in color and span the gamut of commercial photography.
